Overview:
As a developer of the SagePlus™ software, Joe’s responsibilities include implementation, maintenance, and validation of new and existing technologies in Sage. Some past work has covered topics such as code compliance for pressure vessels, piping, tankage, fitness for service (FFS), material properties, and AISC member capacity calculations.
Joe serves as an instructor for SagePlus training courses and provides technical support to clients. He has added curated examples based on the PTB documents and numerous detailed calculation reports for PlantManager®, which reproduce procedural calculations, serve as documentation, and ‘show the work’ for the software.
Before becoming a developer of the SagePlus software, Joe worked as a mechanical engineering consultant at Equity Engineering. His work included performing re-rate calculations, Level 2 and 3 FFS, finite element analyses with mapped damage, piping flexibility analysis, shutdown and extended on-site support, and development of tools for minimum pressurization temperature assessments.
